Curing Losses after a Frac Job
Using {20-40} Size Frac Propant
Mixing Procedure for Temperature up
to 250°F
1- Ensure all pits, lines etc. to be used to mix the pill
are thoroughly cleaned and with clean water, produced water,
sea water or saturated NaCl brine .
2- Before adding the
Bridgesal-Ultra,
the make up water must be first saturated with sodium chloride
to prevent the bridging salt from being dissolved. This
is accomplished by mixing 0.89 bbl of fresh water and 109
ppb of local salt to make 1.0 bbl of saturated sodium chloride
brine 10 ppg.
Add the required volume of saturated NaCl brine to mixing
pit/tank, check the density with a hydrometer or a pressure
balance. If the brine is slightly undersaturated some of
the bridging salt in the Bridgesal-ultra will be dissolved
making the seal ineffective.
Allow Pill to agitate for 10-15 mns prior to pumping downhole.
If CaCl
2 is used, add 3 to 5 ppb extra of
PH-Buffer
through hopper
