The 1”O.D. Percussion Initiators
Were developed to meet the demands of the oil and gas industry.
These initiators are used to begin the explosive train in
tubing conveyed perforating. They are designed to with stand
the high temperatures associated with downhole operations
for extended periods of time, and have become the industry
standard
|
The CP Detonator is
packaged in a hermetically sealed stainless steel housing
which is rated to 30,000 psi at 72° F. The outside dimensions
make it interchangeable with other conventional TCP detonators
(I.e., Teledyne). However, it is designed to fire at a lower
energy level. The CP Detonator does not contain lead azide
yet still initiates secondary high explosives at a 3”
separation distance. The thermal stability of the detonator
exceeds that of HMX explosive. |
